Recorded on July 27th, 2003 at the Sickroom (studio based in King's Lynn) by Owen Turner. According to him, the recording went smoothly and everything was done live, with no mention of overdubs. Mixing was done around November. It was sold for £2.50 plus shipping (£3 in total when in UK) — ordering was done by contacting the band through their email (thelonglives@hotmail.com).

The best candidate currently for the cable-stayed bridge on the front cover appears to be the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, which is a part of the Dartford Crossing over the Thames in Kent. Still, it's a common bridge design, so other possibilities exist. Additionally, a high-voltage powerline (a common motif of emo bands of this era) is present on the insert.

The 7" was first announced on March 8th on Santos' website. The label hoped to release it by the end of September, but it got delayed — it was finally released on December 24th (according to Santos' news on their site at the time).

At least 50 records were pressed, but it is assumed that 200 exist.
